Primary central nervous system lymphoma (PCNSL), non-Hodgkin's lymphoma metastatic to the CNS and Kaposi's sarcoma are the principal brain neoplasms associated with HIV/AIDS. Of these neoplasms, PCNSL is the most common in both adults and children and is designated as an AIDS-defining condition. Neurological involvement associated with Kaposi's sarcoma is rare. Metastatic CNS lesions are found at the gray-white junction, and they enhance with contrast material. They are vascular tumors and can hemorrhage.
