Neoplasms: malignant neoplasm, lymphoma, leukemia. Other: Familial Mediterranean fever in Ashkenazi Jews.
Infants and Children
Respiratory infections predominate if <12 years.
Kawasaki disease if <5 years.
JRA, (Still's disease) in the older child/young adult.

Infections: Malaria, hepatitis, pneumonia/bronchitis, UTI/pyelonephri-tis, dysentery, dengue fever, enteric fever, TB, rickettsial infection, acute human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection, amebic liver abscess.
