MAGI Associated with C trachomatis or U urealyticum Infection

Among ultrasound-positive MAGI categories associated to C. trachomatis or urealyticum infection, sperm parameters, leukocyte concentration, and ROS production were similar to the findings described for MAGI caused by other microorganisms (Table 25.5). Nevertheless, it should be pointed out that in presence of C. trachomatis or U. urealyticum infection, patients with PVE have the worst parameters in absolute compared with the other two MAGI categories (prostatitis alone or PV) and microbiological etiology (Gram positive > Gram negative > C. trachomatis or U. urealyticum).
