Auscultate the Anterior Chest

Auscultation of the anterior chest is performed in the supraclavicular fossae, the axillae, and the anterior chest interspaces, as illustrated in Figure 13-22. The techniques of auscultation have already been discussed. The breath sounds of one side are compared with the breath sounds heard in the corresponding position on the other side.
