Univariate survival analysisIndiana experience

In the cohort of 114 patients, 18 variables were subjected to univariate analysis for prognostic significance (Table 2). The following factors were associated with an adverse prognosis: presurgery serum bHCG and AFP levels as both continuous and categorical variables, serum tumor marker status (rising versus declining) before surgery, history of marker normalization, first-line versus salvage chemotherapy, redo RPLND, retroperitoneal pathology, and unresectable disease. Number of sites of disease and adjuvant chemotherapy did not influence survival on univariate analysis.
